You will be working on a Web team developing Web Service APIs. The service APIs being built will be leveraged by customers sourcing an online search engine's content from the Knowledge Web infrastructure. This is a start up team where things are constantly evolving - stuff changes often and they need people who are present and can communicate clearly. You should be comfortable working for an incubation team that has an evolving environment where requirements and expectations are changing often. They are wanting someone that can give input and who has great communication skills.
They are looking for very strong Engineers who are comfortable working for an incubation team that has an evolving environment where requirements and expectations are changing often. Experience building large scale web service deployments where performance and reliability are essential and important. Strong communication skills are required for presenting ideas/project plans to multiple teams and/or customers.
There is a second part to this position. You will have the opportunity to act as an Engineer in working on a team contributing to their data ingestion pipeline. This pipeline processes large amounts of data from data publishers and prepares it for reasoning and querying by customers. This position is very heavily focused on modeling and transforming external datasources into the datastore; troubleshooting and debugging the data ingestion pipeline and developing automation and deployment scripts for the production systems. Ease of troubleshooting, reliability and performance are a key focus for this team.
